Labor Day! w/ King of Spain, Morningbell, Will Quinlan & more!
Monday, Sep 01, 2008   1:00 pm - 4:ish

We're calling it Labor of Love day because we're planning something special here on Labor Day Monday. A very cool, FREE, in-store performance featuring some of Tampa's (and beyond) coolest acts!

King of Spain, has been receiving glowing reviews for his debut album 'Entropy' (New Granada) from the likes of NPR, Smother and Delusions of Adequacy...

Gainesville's Morningbell play Beatles/Flaming Lips-infused pop-rock that is sure to please the senses. The band will be down playing a pre-Labor Day gig at New World Brewery on Sunday night, as well. So, if you miss them on Sunday (or you're not old enough to get into New World) or you just simply want to witness them again, come on down to the store.

Singer/songwriter/troubadour Will Quinlan (of The Diviners) just released his latest full length 'Navasota'. The disc (which has been selling like hotcakes at VF!) is a haunting, moody slice of Americana. Very, very good.
